NZ’s Convene 2013 has officially launched, handing a diverse range of events related services on a platter to busy and often time poor event organisers.
“Convene combines a convenient mixture of major industry players with the niche and boutique products required for the finer details involved in organising an event,’ says event manager Tess Mason.
Traditionally, Convene showcases around 150 exhibitors and attracts approximately 400 buyers.
“Not just an exhibition, Convene showcases entertainment acts, incorporates an educational forum and the Auckland Convention Bureau will again coordinate the pre-event Auckland familiarisation programme,” said Mason.
Convene 2013 will see an extended geographical reach, expanding to incorporate Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Taupo and Hawke’s Bay.
‘It’s important that event planners, who are often time poor, can access one regional expo that has representation from the upper North Island,’ says ProMag Publishing director Stu Freeman.
Following positive feedback on 2012’s new venue, Convene will return to the Viaduct Events Centre for a second year on April 16. Convene 2013 will showcase innovative use of outdoor space at the venue.
Continuing the focus on pan industry involvement, Convene organisers are keen to hear from associations and organisations that are interested in running educational workshops.
