InterContinental Sydney unveils new food and beverage venues

The new venues will add onto the hotel’s existing meetings and events experiences, including catering options.

As part of its recent $110 million renovation, InterContinental Sydney has unveiled two new venues in the lead up to its new look reveal this September.

Reshaping the hotel’s bar and dining experiences, the rooftop Aster Bar and modern lobby bar The Treasury will offer guests new and modern social destinations in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Aster Bar.

From September, Aster Bar will open to the public for the first time in the hotel’s history. Located on level 32, the rooftop bar boasts 270-degree views taking in the Sydney Harbour and city skyline. Positioned to be one of the world’s most sought-after hotel bars, it will offer exclusive experiences, high-end touches, creative mixology and an innovative menu that celebrates fresh Australian ingredients.

The hotel’s Club InterContinental lounge will continue to operate in the rooftop spaces, offering club members exclusive privileges and tailored luxury service alongside sweeping views.

Meanwhile, The Treasury will open as an all-new dining destination located on the site of former lobby bar within the original cortile of the building. Paying homage to its location’s history and close proximity to Sydney Royal Botanic Garden, the venue will feature lush plant life throughout and offer an all-day food and beverage menu featuring botanical flavours.

The Treasury.

InterContinental Sydney general manager, Jennifer Brown said Aster Bar and The Treasury are not your typical hotel bars.

“They are destinations and experiences in their own right; designed and developed to not only celebrate the building they’re located within, but to also sit proudly and independently within Sydney’s sophisticated bar scene.

“The exciting enhancements will also add to the iconic experience for our Club InterContinental guests and we’re confident we’ll deliver something unique and exciting for all, including our Sydney locals so they too can enjoy the best experiences the city has to offer.”

The new food and beverage venues will add onto the hotel’s existing meetings and events experiences, including catering options, with bookings for small groups within these spaces also available.

InterContinental Sydney will also introduce a new private dining space, with details to be revealed soon.
