EEAA CEO steps down

Claudia Sagripanti has resigned from her role, effective 3 December 2021.

Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has announced its chief executive officer Claudia Sagripanti has resigned from her role, effective 3 December 2021.

EEAA President Nicole Walker said that past EEAA President Domenic Genua will come step into the role while the Board reviews member priorities and creates a new staffing structure that best suits the needs of the industry and members.

“We are pleased to advise that a familiar face to many in the Association, past President Domenic Genua, will come into this interim management role to maintain the momentum of the Associations work whilst we review our future needs and recruit a new team accordingly,” Walker said.

Domenic has 22 years of Association experience and was also a Director of the EEAA for 13 years, that included a term as President from 2013 – 2016.

On behalf of EEAA, Walker expressed her gratitude to Sagripanti for her tireless work for the organisation.

“I am sure that you as members, together with the Board of Directors, sub-committees and partners, join me in thanking Claudia for all the work she has done, and we wish her every success for the next step in her career,” Walker said.

Sagripanti joined the EEAA just weeks prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and has decided to opt for some much-needed time off before exploring new opportunities after steering the Association through two very challenging years.
