EEAA appoints new chief executive

The new boss brings experience in events, exhibitions and media.

Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has announced Claudia Sagripanti as the new chief executive.

The appointment follows an extensive executive search after Joyce DiMascio’s resignation in November 2019.

EEAA president Spiro Anemogiannis said the association is delighted to have Sagripanti leading EEAA into its next stage.

“During her career, Claudia worked in events and exhibitions; and more recently in media and digital technology,” he said.

“She was the CEO of Publishers Australia the trade association representing leading B2B and B2C publishers, and managed the events and awards of the Australian Data-Driven Marketing Association (ADMA).

“Claudia led the development of professional standards in online and mobile advertising in Australia for the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) and is currently on the advisory board for the International Social Media Association.”

“Claudia is a persuasive and excellent networker and people person and has one of the most impressive networks I know. She is also a good strategic thinker which are qualities that are vital in this role.”

Sagripanti will commence her new role on 17 February 2020.
