Canberra on Show is back

Canberra Convention Bureau's destination showcase will make its highly awaited comeback next week.

After a two-year hiatus, Canberra Convention Bureau’s Canberra on Show will make its highly awaited comeback at the city’s historic Albert Hall, on 27 July.

Designed to showcase the best of the Canberra Region’s business events suppliers, the event will feature 41 exhibitors including venues, accommodation providers, caterers, styling and AV suppliers and regional partners.

Aimed at local meeting planners and event organisers, Canberra Convention Bureau head of marketing Kimberley Roberts-Salee said the one-day exhibition will encourage them to consider Canberra for their next event.

The one-day exhibition is aimed at local meeting planners and event organisers, who Canberra Convention Bureau head of marketing Kimberley Roberts-Salee said have incredible influence on where their meetings take place.

“Canberra on Show will bring incredible economic benefits to our destination and is an opportunity for local meeting and event planners to familiarise or re-familiarise themselves with everything Canberra has to offer for business events big and small, and to gain a better understanding of our destination by connecting directly with local operators,” Roberts-Salee said.

The event will also feature engaging activations such as virtual venue tours, local spirits tastings, arcade games, a photo booth and the chance to win more than 30 destination prizes, including a $1,000 Qantas travel voucher.

Canberra Convention Bureau has partnered with Venues Canberra to deliver the event, which will be supported by local exhibition service supplier SBX and AV supplier Elite Event Technology. Catering and beverage stations will be by Daana Catering, Restaurant Associates, Ginger Catering, House of Bubbles and Neat Street coffee van.
