seven per week in 2009 to meet growing demand

SpiceNews
has learned the low-cost airline is set to receive three Boeing 767-300ER aircraft by the end of 2009, meaning Sydney, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City will all be served daily by the middle of the year. Additional routes to India, the Middle East and Eastern Europe are also planned.

The news comes on the back of a Macau Government Tourist Office and Viva Macau delegation visit to Sydney last week targeting the outbound MICE market in Australia.

According to a spokesperson from Viva Macau, the Sydney flights have been performing well — load factors have regularly been over the 90 per cent mark — and increasing the service to daily is a priority for the company. That bodes well for the MICE market, with airfares on the route starting from $298 one way including all taxes and charges. It makes holding a conference in Macau is on par with a number of Australian and South Pacific destinations.
