This reciprocal frequent flyer agreement enables both Velocity Members and Flying Club Members to earn Velocity Points or Flying Club Miles on V Australia and Virgin Atlantic flights.

This joint venture is in addition to the existing frequent flyer partnership between Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Blue which was launched in 2008 with the Virgin Blue Group of Airlines including Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue also linked to Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club.

“This is obviously a natural fit for both V Australia and Virgin Atlantic and great news for our guests who now have the ability to accrue points or miles regardless of which network they are flying on,” said Virgin Blue CEO Brett Godfrey.

“Through this arrangement we are able to further reward those who prefer to fly with and remain loyal to Virgin branded airlines and we hope this gives our guests added incentive to do so,” said Virgin Atlantic CEO Steve Ridgway.

“We are very pleased to launch this new partnership with V Australia. It is great news that our passengers will now be able to earn miles when travelling with our sister airline and a fantastic added bonus for those travellers that have booked Virgin ‘Round the World’ fares,” he said.

“The combination of Virgin Atlantic and V Australia offers travellers huge flexibility and some of the best value round the world fares available – and now they will be able to earn more miles when they fly to these exciting destinations,” Ridgway said.
