Virgin Australia’s rollout of its new domestic Business Class product is continuing at a rapid pace, with the carrier announcing it will be available between Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne from January 18, 2012.

“Following the successful introduction of Business Class on Virgin Australia trans-continental services, we are pleased to announce that Business Class on the Sydney-Melbourne-Brisbane triangle is available for sale (now) ahead of schedule,” said Virgin Australia CEO John Borghetti.
“Our new Business Class product is a key part of our strategy to reposition Virgin Australia as the airline of choice for all market sectors.
“Providing an excellent product on the triangle is a key priority for us, with routes such as Melbourne-Sydney among the busiest in the world.
“In line with our commitment to providing excellent value, we will be offering the most competitively priced fares in the market, with fares starting from as little as $559 one way,” Borghetti said.
Virgin Australia began offering domestic Business Class earlier this year on flights between Sydney, Melbourne and Perth on state-of-the-art Airbus A330 aircraft and the latest announcement is in line with the carrier’s ‘game changing’ strategy which also included the rebranding from former low-cost airline Virgin Blue.
