Just two days after inaugurating Melbourne-Los Angeles flights, V Australia has taken off today (December 3) for Phuket from the Victorian capital in yet another boost for the MICE market ex-Australia.
VA has launched its second Melbourne route this week
The flight also marks the third route to the Thai resort island for the Virgin Blue Group, following the successful launch of services from Perth (by Pacific Blue) and Brisbane (by V Australia) in recent weeks.
The weekly services between Melbourne and Phuket are being operated by three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and Virgin Blue Group CEO Brett Godfrey says the airline offers something for all tastes and budgets.
“Whether travellers are seeking a budget or premium product or somewhere in between, V Australia has got it covered and best of all, no matter which cabin they are travelling in, the service will always be first class,” he says.
To celebrate the launch, V Australia is offering one-way flights for just $399 and tickets are on sale until midnight December 7.
Up next on the launch schedule for V Australia are flights between Sydney and Nadi from December 18 and between Melbourne and Johannesburg from March 2010.
