V Australia is showcasing its first Boeing 777-300ER aircraft at this year’s Australian International Airshow (Avalon 2009) to promote the new airline and the upcoming Melbourne-Los Angeles flights.

V Australia thunders down the runway

V Australia first took to the skies last month with its inaugural services between Sydney and Los Angeles. Brisbane-Los Angeles flights will launch in April, while Melbourne-Los Angeles flights will take off in September.

V Australia is the only carrier to operate Boeing 777 aircraft on the route, which features three cabins — 33 Business Class lie-flat beds, 40 Premium Economy club seats and 288 economy seats.

All seats on the brand new 360-seat 777-300ER aircraft offer state-of-the-art seat back entertainment. The aircraft also two in-flight bars, a ladies-only toilet and Australian icons featured on subtle wallpaper murals.

Coinciding with V Australia’s appearance at Avalon 2009, the airline is offering return sale fares from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to Los Angeles starting from just $971. The fares are on sale until March 20 and are valid for travel until June 15.
