Sri Lanka Tourism has announced a series of industry roadshows to take place in May.
The shows will be held in Melbourne, Brisbane and in Sydney as Sri Lanka tourism ramps up focus on Australian travellers
A delegation of 50 Sri Lankan representatives will host Australian travel bookers, tour operators and media for dinner and networking as the tourism bureau sets it sights on developing arrivals from Australia.
The roadshows are scheduled for 17 May in Melbourne, 19 May in Brisbane and 23 May in Sydney.
Sri Lanka Tourism director of marketing Madubhani Perera said, “We are very excited to increase our promotional efforts in Australia and engage the Australian travel industry to help demonstrate to consumers the wonders of Sri Lanka.
“We have world heritage sites, rich bio diversity, tropical beaches, adventurous experiences and world class hotels. We are excited to share these opportunities with the travel industry in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney,” said Perera.
The roadshows kick off at 5.30pm and will feature a three-course dinner at a five star hotel in each city, a networking session with suppliers and the chance to win a trip to Sri Lanka.
