Up to 3,000 top performing sales representatives from Chinese company Perfect China will descend on Adelaide this June.
It will be the first time in history a large scale incentive group has visited South Australia from any Asian country and is also the largest MICE initiative ever undertaken by the Adelaide Convention Bureau (ACB).
ACB chief executive officer Damien Kitto said that in order to win the opportunity to host the group, the bureau had to demonstrate that Adelaide had a world class offering with the capability to create a program that will inspire delegates.
“With Adelaide’s rich diversity of venues, premium produce, pristine natural wonders, all under a perfect climate…we are confident through our business events expertise, that our beach-side city will deliver an unforgettable event,” he said.
The massive group will be split into two groups of 1,500 guests, with the first to arrive on 17 – 20 June and the second on the 24 – 27 June.
The Perfect China incentive tour is predicted to inject $11.2 million to the state’s visitor economy and create and support 110 jobs within the tourism sector.
