NT Meetings Muster hits the road in October

More than 200 events planners around the country will get the opportunity to meet with the Northern Territory Convention Bureau and their ten industry partners at NT Meetings Muster '12, which will run from 22-26 October.

More than 200 events planners around the country will get the opportunity to meet with the Northern Territory Convention Bureau (NTCB) and their ten industry partners at NT Meetings Muster ’12, which will run from 22-26 October.

Events are to be held progressively in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and will be early evening networking forums, with the exception of Adelaide which will be staged as a lunch. Event MC will be ex-AFL footballer, Russell Robertson, a roving NT tourism advocate who has been closely involved in community football development. The ten NT exhibitors include both of the NT convention centres, accommodation suppliers and specialist service providers, activity and tour operators, off-site venues as well as members of the convention bureau team.

The NT Meeting Muster 2012 will take place in late October, bringing key suppliers form the destination to organsers accross the country.

NT Meetings Muster ‘12 is open to attendance by professional conference organisers, destination management companies, event planners, in-house meeting organisers, associations and corporate decision makers in each city. A diverse range of fantastic door prizes will be on offer in each destination including trips to Uluru, Darwin and the Top End and Alice Springs, as well as beautiful pearl jewellery, indigenous artwork and crocodile skin products.

The NT Meetings Muster event will once again enable a generous CSR contribution to be made to one of the Northern Territory’s local community-based not-for-profit organisations, in lieu of promotional gifts being provided to attendees at the various events around the country. The recipient for 2012 will be one of the 13 organisations already identified by NTCB as providing potential CSR opportunities for conference and incentive groups coming to the NT. These organisations are listed on the NTCB’s website.

“This five city road-show enables us to bring the NT so much closer to city-based planners,”  said Scott Lovett, director of Business Events for Tourism NT.  “They can meet with our operators, learn more about our destinations, products and services, as well as the wonderful CSR activities that enable NT-based conferences and incentives to give back to local communities and make a real difference”.

A direct link to register as well as further information on NT Meetings Muster ’12 is available on the NTCB website.
