MCEC launches new event planning technology

Imagine is the latest in 3D event planning software that allows clients and event producers to sit with a technician and virtually light and configure any of Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s (MCEC) event spaces.

The Imagine software, which is part of the Visualisation Studio lighting desk set up that MCEC has installed, creates a virtual version of every room in the centre right down to the detail in the carpet and walls.

Clients can then add and subtract lighting effects such a spotlights, LED colours and special effect lighting (ie underwater) to see how it will look in the space.

There is also the option of changing the shapes of tables and the seating configuration to see exactly how the room will look with a range of options for the desired capacity.

MCEC’s Director of Technology Operations Michael Walsh said, “Our team is recognised as one of the best in the industry and constantly strive to deliver innovative and cost-effective options for customers using the latest technology. We want customers to know they are in reliable hands; not only will the team bring your event to life, but they will make it memorable and ensure your guests leave with a lasting impression”.

Other in-house innovations include MCEC’s Intelligent Lecterns with everything the presenter needs at a touch of a button, webcasting and event recording via M Channel, social media integration and much more.

The full details of MCEC’s technology offering is available on its newly launched website.
