Le Cordon Bleu Perth has launched a brand new three-year Bachelor of Business Convention and Event Management program.
The program, which includes two six-month periods of industry placement, will provide a continuing stream of skilled graduates with internationally recognised qualifications for the burgeoning events industry in Australia.
The Coursework, which is presented over five stages, covers everything from communication through to accounting principles; the event experience through to convention and event planning.
Commenting on the new course, Le Cordon Bleu COO Derrick Casey said the new school would allow Perth students to take advantage of the increasing numbers of professional jobs in the tourism sector both locally and internationally.
“Our degree course in convention and event management is the first of its kind and we’re excited to be launching it in Perth,” Casey said.
“This move is a vote of confidence in the future of the events and tourism industry in Western Australia, and beyond.”
Le Cordon Bleu will run the course in a purpose-built facility at North Metropolitan TAFE.
