AIME (Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo) has today announced its partnership with Australian Federation for Travel Agents (AFTA) and Sabre Pacific, a global travel technology company serving the travel and tourism industry.

Key to this partnership is the opportunity for AFTA to launch its new AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS), effective in April 2014, to its industry peers. During the event, AIME attendees will get an understanding of the new accreditation scheme that claims to ‘future-proof’ the Australian travel industry.
Sabre Pacific’s TripCase tool will be showcased in AIME’s Innovation Zone. The new app manages travellers’ trip details, keeps them informed with in-transit messages and critical flight alerts, and offers helpful tools such as maps, weather forecasts, trip sharing, alternate flight schedules and seat maps.
AIME exhibition director Jacqui Timmins said, “These strategic partnerships with AFTA and Sabre Pacific demonstrate to our audience and peers the importance of business travel to the business events arena.
“It’s key for us to ensure we’re meeting the needs of the business travel industry and gaining a clearer understanding of its requirements”.
