Brisbane and Perth will also receive new flights, with the Queensland and West Australian capitals set to be served three-times daily each over the same period.
The announcement has been welcomed by peak body, the Accommodation Association of Australia.
“This is great news for Brisbane, Perth and especially Adelaide,” the Accommodation Association’s CEO, Richard Munro, told SpiceNews.
“The Association welcomes the news of the increased capacity and this will give hotels a shot in the arm and more confidence going into 2012.”
During the same period, Singapore Airlines has increased flights to Male, Mumbai, Seoul and San Francisco, while adjustments have been made to Moscow, Houston, Munich, Manchester and Taipei services, and some Middle Eastern flights.
