Save the date for Events Uncovered, Sydney’s newest events showcase, to be held on Tuesday July 7 at The Argyle.
Following on from the cancellation of Inspire EX, The Intermedia Group has announced that it will run a Sydney-based boutique showcase to fill the gap in the market and celebrate innovation.
The Intermedia Group Managing Director Simon Grover said, “We see a huge opportunity to reimagine the traditional event show format. Sydney has had RSVP, Sydney Event Showcase (SES), Australian Business Events Expo (ABEE) and Inspire EX, all of which performed well enough during their time.
“We see that the market has changed. We’ve listened to feedback from exhibitors and attendees alike to come up with a more affordable, effective and efficient show that doesn’t waste anyone’s time or money and still delivers exceptional results,” said Grover.
Group Sales and Marketing Manager Ben Curtis said, “The event industry is full of hugely talented, creative people and we want to celebrate this. Events Uncovered will be a unique, interactive space where event organisers can learn about great new product, engage directly with expert suppliers and gain first-hand experience of the best bits of the industry. We’re thrilled to be hosting the event at The Argyle and we appreciate their generous support.”
The Intermedia Group, publishers of Spice and A LIST Guide, as well as over 50 trade and consumer magazines and websites, will put their full promotional weight behind the new show.
Events Uncovered will be limited to only 25 exhibitors and there will also be a TEDx-style event themed Education, Innovation and Creativity where industry experts will have the chance to speak about big ideas that are changing the events and business tourism world.

Is there really a gap in the market? If anything there are too many trade shows all purporting to offer something different but generally not doing so.
Hi Peter, speaking with event organisers, we know they want to see innovation and creativity. We believe the industry is full of hugely talented suppliers and exceptional venues that have lots to offer these organisers. The reason we’ve launched Events Uncovered is to create a unique, face to face platform to bring these elements together.
