The construction of Dorsett Gold Coast, Australia’s first Dorsett hotel, has reached practical completion and is set to open at The Star Gold Coast on Boxing Day.
Dorsett Hospitality International already has a total of 55 properties in 25 major cities across the world. Dorsett Gold Coast marks the group’s first hotel in Australia, with further Dorsett hotels in the pipeline for Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.
“The Star is delighted to welcome Dorsett to the Gold Coast and are very excited that world recognised brand Dorsett has chosen the Gold Coast and us here at The Star Gold Coast to launch its first hotel in Australia,” The Star Gold Coast general manager hotels and residences Mark Hodge said.
Dorsett Gold Coast will be located in the soon-to-be-completed 53-storey hotel and apartment tower within The Star Gold Coast’s renowned entertainment and leisure precinct. The hotel’s guests will have easy access to a range of world-class bars and restaurants, a theatre, and state-of-the-art conference and entertainment facilities.
Before the Dorsett Gold Coast welcomes its first guests, a first look inside some of its 313 rooms will be revealed in the coming weeks.
“We are looking confidently ahead to a long-awaited return to normal operations and will be working closely with Dorsett, as they get ready to welcome first guests to the hotel,” Hodge said.
