Greg Chambers and Jim Delahunty, the owners of Exponet have announced that they have sold the business to their current chief financial officer, Rocky Bruzzano.
Bruzzano will take on the role of managing director, replacing Delahunty, who has stepped down. Delahunty has for many years guided Exponet to become one of the major exhibition and event contractors in Australia and will continue to assist with the transition over the next few months.
After 38 years with the company, Delahunty said it was time to hang up his boots.
“This is a fantastic outcome for everyone, and I could not think of a more deserving person to take over the running of the business,” Delahunty said.
“I know Rocky and the management team will continue to work hard in rebuilding Exponet and delivering successful exhibitions and events for our clients into the future.”
An integral part of the management team, Bruzzano has been with Exponet for more than 30 years and has been instrumental in helping the business get through the devastating impacts of the pandemic over the past two years.
Chambers, who started the business 40 years ago, said he is excited about the change and is very pleased the that the highly regarded and experienced management team will remain in place under Bruzzano’s leadership.
“Rocky has been part of our family for many years, he understands our culture and our team. He has many years of experience and a passion for the industry, I am confident about the future of the business under his leadership,” Chambers said.
