FlyPelican is now flying from Sydney and Newcastle to Mudgee.
The 50-minute flights are available Monday to Friday and Sunday. The previous air service closed in 2013, leaving a gaping hole in access to the region.
Mudgee Region Tourism CEO Cara George said, “The Mudgee Region offers the discerning traveller a chance to reset their senses, by escaping the city and indulging in the nature and freedom of Mudgee country. The re-introduction of air services helps bring Mudgee even closer, giving time-poor Sydney and Newcastle travellers further means of accessing this captivating region; whether by air or a comfortable 3.5 hour drive.”
FlyPelican is an independent Newcastle-based airline company that operates a 19 seat British Aerospace Jetstream 32 Aircraft. As the flight times are early morning and afternoon, it is ideal for those taking a short break or extending their stay to make their own long weekend.
