Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has announced CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park as the official venue to host its 2022 Welcome Event, on 21 March.
The newly opened venue will welcome delegates from across Australia and New Zealand with a highly experiential event that reignites meaningful connections and re-energises the business events and tourism sector.
In what is set to be AIME’s biggest celebration yet, AIME event director Silke Calder said the event will unite the industry and be a part of its recovery by helping drive strong business for the year ahead and beyond.
“The team at AIME and CENTREPIECE have been working behind-the-scenes to create an experience like no other – designing interesting ways to spark meaningful connections and marvellous event moments,” Calder said.
“We are beyond excited to reconnect with our friends and community, particularly after a challenging two years faced by our industry.
We can’t wait to welcome you all in what is sure to be the event of the year – to not only help supercharge business, but also enjoy a well overdue catch-up.”
CENTREPIECE will greet delegates by highlighting Melbourne’s wonderful melting pot of arts, cuisine, culture and entertainment, giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the venue’s paddock to plate philosophy, with a menu that focuses on fresh Victorian produce and sustainability.
Helping drive the much-anticipated networking event, CENTREPIECE sales manager of conferences and events Laura Reddaway said the team was thrilled to kick off the official celebration of one of the most important industry events of the year.
“After years of planning and construction, 2022 marks the first year we’ll be opening our doors,” Reddaway said.
“We can’t wait to welcome you all to Melbourne’s home of extraordinary events and showcase how our venue will shine on the world stage.”
AIME will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 21–23 March in-person and 28 March–1 April online.
