Mandurah Cruises in Western Australia has launched a new experience suitable for incentive groups.
The Wild Seafood Experience, suitable for groups of up to 23, gives guests the chance to haul rock lobster pots up from the ocean.
A chef then prepares the lobsters for the group and guests sit down to dine. The meal also features a number of other local seafood delicacies, all accompanied by beer, cider and local wines.
Throughout the three hour tour, guests are surrounded by wildlife, including Mandurah’s dolphins and abundant bird life.
Passengers will learn about the rock lobster industry and cruise past canal homes, all from the comfort of the luxuriously re-fitted cray boat, Reel Affair.
One of the crew members speaks Mandarin and can offer translation services for Chinese groups.
Western Rock Lobster (or crayfish) is renowned internationally for its delicate taste. Mandurah has been a crayfishing centre for more than 100 years and is located an hour’s drive south of Perth.
