The Yarra Valley Conference Centre (YVCC) will now be known as Yarra Valley Estate.
The new name is intended to better reflect the venue’s diversification over the years. Now, in addition to group stays and conferencing, it is also a wedding and functions venue.
The property also welcomes Katrina Reynolds into the position of general manager, freeing up owners John and Louise Ward to work at a strategic level.
Louise Ward said, ‘After 20 years of managing the property ourselves, we’re delighted to welcome Katrina on board. Having worked in the region and industry for the past 18 years, Katrina will bring a wealth of experience with her to the role and she will be a fantastic fit with the team. Her arrival coincides with our name change and us achieving an environmental benchmark, so it’s been a significant week for us. We feel ‘Yarra Valley Estate’ describes our venue and grounds perfectly, as we are a large country property on 120 acres, a mecca for lovers of wildlife and nature.’
The venue has also been benchmarked by Earth Check, an organisation that recognises businesses’ sustainable practices globally.
