Lancemore Milawa’s multi-million dollar refurbishment has been acknowledged on the world stage by receiving the 2023 AHEAD Award for Best Hotel Renovation.

Presented at a glittering ceremony at Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay Singapore, the awards celebrated the best in hospitality experience and design.

Crafted by Melbourne-based design studio The Stella Collective, the design merges contemporary Mediterranean influences with the spirit of Victoria’s High Country.

Lancemore Group CEO, Julian Clark, said it was a thrill to receive the award.

“At Lancemore we seek to create one-of-a-kind boutique hotels that are rooted in their architecture, climate and locality,” he said.

“We collaborate with exceptional designers, creatives and artists to bring our vision to light for each hotel. 

“The judges’ recognition of our efforts at Milawa was a wonderful validation of what we have collectively created for this special property, and I couldn’t be more proud.”

Located at the gateway of King Valley in Victoria’s north-east, between the grapevines of the Brown Brothers winery, the 40-room Lancemore Milawa is now eligible to compete against other regions, with worldwide champions set to be crowned at the next AHEAD Global edition.
