Manly’s newest beachside venue, Manly Greenhouse, will welcome its first guests this weekend.
The three-storey bar and restaurant will be unveiled in two stages, beginning with the street-level Greenhouse and Rooftop this Friday, 7 September. The Grill restaurant, located on the middle level, will follow in October.
Greg Anderson and Patricia Nunes have worked together to restore the neglected venue, which was formerly the Shore Club, to new glory.
“Over the years, we’ve witnessed the Manly Wharf grow in popularity, but we believe now is the time to breathe new life and hospitality into one of Sydney’s best beach fronts,” says Anderson.
“After much anticipation, we’re excited to open our doors to the Greenhouse and Rooftop, and I look forward to welcoming our new neighbours to enjoy our take on the ‘perfect local’.”
The duo enlisted Luchetti Krelle (ACME, Banksii) to design the space, which can accommodate 400 guests across its three levels.
The venue’s design, and name, was based on greenhouse forms, with steel structures and transparent materials used to offset the greenery.
Each level features a distinct food and beverage offering, from casual all-day dining on the ground level to a more refined menu in the middle-level Grill restaurant plus a rooftop bar with panoramic ocean views.
