Trippas White Group will open two late-night venues, Reign and Esquire, in Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building this month.
Reign at the QVB, Champagne Parlour and Bar, will open on 15 March on level one of the building, with views overlooking Town Hall.
Flooded with natural light, the venue will feature more than 150 Champagnes and sparkling wines, sourced from quality French producers as well as rare drops from craft producers.
Hand-crafted cocktails will also be on offer, alongside a seasonally-driven food menu which is designed for sharing.
Meanwhile, Esquire Drink + Dine emulates a New York supper club, with a dark, oak bar, leather seating and low lighting on level two of the QVB.
Guests can choose from a list of over 180 whiskeys and spirits, plus 200 wines from all over the world. The menu will change regularly with the seasons, with a focus on modern Australian classics.
Both venues can be hired exclusively and can host groups of up to 140 guests.
Led by Trippas White Group, Reign and Esquire will have a strong hospitality team at the helm.
Sommelier Fabio Nistrio (ex Sokyo at The Star and Bambini Trust Restaurant & Wine Room) has created bespoke drink menus, while executive chef Damien Worthington, (ex QT Hotels and The Winery) has designed the food menus to match.
Matthew Beaumont, group general manager of beverage was tasked with the creation and curation of both venues, while Patricia Salomo has come on board to head up both venues as general manager.
Beaumont said the group is honoured to launch the new venues.
“Both venues are intended to excite guests with a bespoke, world-class drinking and dining experience,” he said.
“While the QVB is already known for its cafés, high tea and casual dining options, the opening of Reign and Esquire will turn it into a destination where locals can enjoy a Champagne tasting at Reign or a long sit-down dinner from Esquire’s grill – or both.”
Both venues will open until midnight Monday through Wednesday and until 2am Thursday to Sunday.
Quite informative. Thank you!
