Truffle Lodge to reopen with more luxury tents

The Tasmanian glamping property has unveiled a series of new additions ahead of its second season.

Tasmania’s Truffle Lodge will reopen in mid-September for its second season, unveiling a series of upgrades and new additions.

The glamping property has added three luxury ensuite tents, bringing the lodge’s total number of tents to eight.

Each tent features a wooden bath, rain shower. double beds, tea and coffee facilities and a bar fridge.

Other new additions include a private bush bath and a large shelter for outdoor functions.

Owners Laurelle and John Grimley say this season they will focus on multi-day packages that allow guests to arrive and simply relax.

“Truffle Lodge is luxurious in its detail, but it is also raw, simple and pared back,” the owners say.

“It reflects our belief in slow hospitality, where the quality of each experience is more important than the quantity. We encourage our guests to pause in the pursuit of happiness and just be happy.”

Guests can also enjoy breakfast, lunch and three-course dinners in Truffle Lodge’s communal areas, which include a new long table in the orchard.

During the day, the lodge offers on- and off-site activities including kayaking, downhill dirt biking, 4WD adventures, fly fishing, abseiling and helicopter tours.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming more guests for Truffle Lodge’s second season,” says Laurelle and John Grimley. “Glamping with us gives our guests the opportunity to enjoy time out, authentic hospitality and adventures, taste fine local foods and wines and possibly sleep even better than they do at home.”
