Trippas White Group opens new venue in Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden

A celebrated celebrity chef has designed the menus at the revamped venue.

Trippas White Group is set to breathe new life into Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden, with the launch of the fully transformed Botanic House.

Formerly known as the Botanic Restaurant, the completely renovated venue will now be known as Botanic House in the upstairs area and Farm Cove Eatery on the lower level.

Officially launching on 14 August, the concept was originally presented by Trippas White Group as part of their winning tender in March 2018.

Since then, the group has been in close consultation with the Royal Botanic Garden Trust and NSW Office of Environment and Heritage to bring the venue to life.

Trippas White Group has also announced Luke Nguyen as ambassador chef for the venue, tasked with infusing his renowned modern Asian food concepts into Botanic House.

Nguyen said the menu will also take inspiration from the native ingredients of the surrounding gardens.

“The Garden is peaceful and stunning as a location,” he said. “It has a sheer beauty and array of flowers, herbs and examples of indigenous ingredients that I will be using in my food.

“I am thrilled to be on this journey – a journey of modern Asian fusion foods, complemented with indigenous ingredients found right here in the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney.”

Trippas White Group managing director Joseph Murray said the team is excited to have designed and built the new Botanic House.

“The new Botanic House is the perfect place for a spectacular wedding or corporate event, right in the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney,” he said.

The venue can host up 300 guests for a cocktail event or up to 150 guests seated.

The launch of Botanic House follows two recent openings for Trippas White Group, having launched Reign and Esquire in Sydney’s Queens Victoria Building earlier this year.
