The opening date for The Porter House Hotel Sydney – MGallery has been announced for Tuesday, 13 September.
Located on Castlereagh Street, the multi-million luxury hotel occupies the first 10 floors of a 36-storey mixed-use tower within the revitalised Porter House precinct, with some 131 residential apartments sitting above it.
A multi-level food and bar destination has also been created within the restored 1870s heritage-listed building, with a walkway connecting the two buildings.
The hotel offers 122 guest rooms and suites, including six interconnecting rooms, six disability rooms and one pet-friendly room, as well as a fitness centre and heated pool surrounded by a rooftop garden. There are eight meeting rooms, accommodating up to 60 guests, and a range of private dining and function options, including two luxe dining spaces complete with fireplaces and libraries for 8-16 guests.
Designed by award-winning architect Angelo Candelapas of Candelapas Associates, this new urban sanctuary features a modern take on old designs, paying homage to The Porter House’s history as a former tobacco factory and furniture manufacturer during Sydney’s bustling Victorian commercial era.
