The three-level dining precinct at the top of the iconic Sydney Tower will undergo a major transformation this year, thanks to a $12 million investment from operator Trippas White Group.
The precinct, which includes 360 Bar and Dining, Sydney Tower Buffet and Studio Sydney Tower, will close from 2 March until late July 2020 for the redevelopment.
As part of the project, 360 Bar and Dining and Sydney Tower Buffet will be fully upgraded and refreshed, while the dedicated event space, Studio Sydney Tower, will be replaced with a stand-alone bar experience, complete with a bold, retro look.
This is the first major redevelopment of Sydney Tower Dining since Trippas White Group took over the venue in 2006.
Trippas White Group managing director Joseph Murray said the group is excited to turn its “creative flair” to the Sydney Tower venues, which welcomed 300,000 diners in 2019.
“Sydney Tower is truly an icon of the Sydney skyline, and holds a treasured place in the hearts of Sydneysiders and many local and international tourists,” he said.
“We’re thrilled to be building Sydney’s CBD entertainment and dining offerings by creating a world-class food and beverage destination.
“I can’t wait for everyone to see the new-look Sydney Tower Dining when we open it later this year. It will be a great occasion and we are so proud to be part of it!”
The investment comes as Trippas White Group celebrates 30 years in the hospitality business in 2020 and off the back of a big 2019, which included the relaunch of Terrace on the Domain and Botanic House in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
In 2019, the company also opened Reign and Esquire in the Queen Victoria Building, and launched Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House, overseen by Karen Martini.
