Sydney Entertainment Centre Rocking on With Frontier Touring

The Sydney Entertainment Centre is once again rocking out following last year's downturn with two back to back Frontier Touring concerts scheduled this week

The Sydney Entertainment Centre (SEC) is once again rocking out following last year’s downturn with two back-to-back Frontier Touring concerts scheduled this week- the legendary Tom Jones and traditional jazz/pop singer Diana Krall.

There was also a celebration backstage last night with management of the SEC teaming up with Michael Gudinski and his Frontier Touring Company staff to congratulate and salute them on their thirty years of passion and tenacity in the concert touring business.

A plaque commemorating hundreds of Frontier’s performers who had performed live at the Sydney Entertainment Centre since the building’s opening in 1983 was presented to Michael and the Frontier staff by General Manager of the SEC, Steve Romer.

“The company that Michael established 30 years ago has made a vast contribution to the Australian live music industry as a whole and it’s great that the SEC has been an integral part of Frontiers success with over 200+ Frontier concerts staged at the SEC since our opening in 1983,” Romer said.

The mood is truly buoyant in the SEC’s downtown location of Darling Harbour, and that wasn’t just from last night’s champagne. Other concerts on the SEC events calendar over the next few months include the Backstreet Boys, three Lady Gaga concerts, two Carole King and James Taylor concerts, two Spandau Ballet and Tears For Fears concerts, Deep Purple and John Mayer, with more concerts to be announced shortly.
