Rendering of the rooftop pool and bar area
The opening of the InterContinental in early November, 2014, is a step in the right direction for Double Bay.
The former Ritz Carlton property is being fully refurbished and is already attracting big names into the street level retail space.

With Shaun Presland’s Sake restaurant confirmed as one of the tenants, the team at IHG, while tight-lipped about the details, told Spice that there will be an international brand of Patisserie and a wellness centre.
With chef Julien Pouteau coming across from Intercontinental Sydney, the in-house dining and bar experience is set to follow in the footsteps of hotels like QT Sydney and Gold Coast, where the locals patronise the venue as much as the guests.

Upgrades to the property include a pillarless ballroom with a 450 (theatre style) and 360 (banquet style) person capacity and a full kosher kitchen, seven meetings spaces and a rooftop infinity pool with cabana lounges and a bar. The hotel has 140 guest rooms and ample parking within the property, in an adjacent council carpark and on the street.
The property is taking advance bookings. For further information, please contact events.doublebay@ihg.com
