All 184 rooms at The Shangri-La Hotel, the Marina Cairns are set to be transformed as part of a $13 million refurbishment program commencing in March 2018.

The revamp will be rolled out in two separate phases, with the first involving 115 rooms and starting on 02 march and ending 21 August 2018.

The second phase will take care of 69 rooms and commence 30 July through until 14 December 2018.

The design and decor of the rooms will move away from the traditional and focus on modern simplicity with nautical accents.

Shangri-La Hotel will remain fully operational and uninterrupted throughout the refresh as guestrooms being transformed are located at considerable distance from operative rooms.
