W Hotels, part of the Marriott International family, has announced its grand re-entry to the harbour city with the signing of W Sydney.

Slated to welcome guests by 2020, the new build property will be part of The Ribbon development and will be designed by award-winning architect HASSEL.

The property will feature 593 guestrooms, suites and serviced apartments. Other onsite facilities include a pool which overlooks Darling Harbour, restaurants and bars, a wellness spa and 925 square metres of event space including a grand ballroom.

The opening of W Sydney will mark the third W in Australia alongside W Brisbane (just opened in June 2018) and W Melbourne (opening 2020).
