Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel, which is set to open at the international terminal on Friday 10 May 2013, will boast a range of unique functions and event spaces, including three stunning rooftop spaces with breathtaking views of the international runway, surrounding area and city skyline.
The 4.5 star, 318 room hotel development, will be Sydney’s first on-site airport hotel and will create a hub for business travellers, as well as local business people looking for a convenient and unique new location to hold meetings and events.
The 11 flexible conference rooms, which hold from 10 to 190 people, will offer state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, video conferencing facilities, broadband and Wi-Fi access. Flexible catering menus with an array of choices will be provided by the hotel’s Blackwattle Grill restaurant, and a dedicated events team will be on hand to assist with packages tailored to individual requirements.
A Quick Meets package will be available for anyone arriving at the airport and needing a space to meet for a few hours. The flat rate includes the use of conference facilities for up to four hours and catering throughout the session for up to ten people, giving guests a flexible, short term solution to their meeting and conferencing needs.

The hotel is just 20-30 minutes from Sydney CBD by car, taxi or airport train and on-site parking will be offered to guests at 50 per cent off the ticketed price for guests staying over three hours. A complimentary shuttle bus will also operate for guests between the hotel and domestic airport from 6am-11pm every day.
“The hotel is set to be a hub not just for travellers, but also interstate and overseas business guests,” said Tish Nyar, general manager for Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel.
“Being conveniently located just ten minutes from Sydney CBD by train and right next to the international terminal building, the hotel is the perfect location for people coming to Sydney and looking for somewhere to hold a meeting or function that is more easily accessible than the usual Sydney venues and offers great parking rates.”
For those looking to stay the night, the rooms themselves offer seven different layouts from the Superior Queen Room to Deluxe King Suite, all equipped with Rydges Dream Beds. Despite being situated right at the terminal, special glass has been installed so that the noise levels are lower than most city hotel rooms and direct views of the runway can be enjoyed in peace.
