League, Leadership & Life was the theme of a recent lunch event held in the Crystal Ballroom, Luna Park last week where special guests entertained a high end business audience.
Wayne Bennett, head coach for the dragons and PhIl Gould, general manager of the Penrith Panthers engage with the audience at Crystal Palace
Special guests included rugby league’s Wayne Bennett, head coach for the St George Illawarra Dragons and Phil Gould, general manager, Penrith Rugby League who kept the audience engaged as they shared their plans, secrets and some of their innermost thoughts during the lunch.
A number of corporate clients used the opportunity to host their senior staff and clients to get an insight into getting the best from your people, from two men who are without peer in Australian sport.
MC, Ray Hadley OAM used all his communications skills to draw information from both Bennett and Gould, some of which left the audience of 250 debating the finer points long after the event concluded.
In a touch of irony, just as the rugby league fraternity were leaving at the conclusion of the lunch, the early arrivals for that evening’s John Eales Medal were descending on the Big Top at Luna Park.
”It was quite an event to have both Wayne and Phil share their views quite openly to our audience, I suspect this is not something they do too often,” said Luna Park’s general manager, sales, Gary Daly.
“To follow that up with the John Eales Medal, where the cream of Australian rugby was on show was indeed a unique experience.”
