Well known amongst Bondi locals, Roy’s Seafood Tapas & Bar hosted an official launch party on Tuesday (20 March) welcoming guests back to the bar and lounge area following a refurbishment.
Approximately 90 guests attended to check out the space as Roy’s dished out canapé size editions of their menu, complimented by their favourite beverages.

The night was not only an opening celebration, it was also the opening of art exhibition”Islands in the Sky” by artist Vectorpunk, also known as Peter Strong.
Owner Martin Maddell introduced the new menu calling it “fresh, funky, with a hint of ’ole traditional.” Maddell said he takes pleasure in knowing that the local hipsters can hang around after dinner again. “The back is BACK; everyone can lounge around in the new space and enjoy Roy’s extensive cocktail and wine list.”
Roy’s hosts private functions and is available for corporate events.

“I was inspired by a recent trip to Hawaii,” said artist Peter Strong. “It was the catalyse, that made me appreciate the Pacific and its cultures. The restaurant will be filled with light boxes and canvas that fuse screen printing, stencil art and painting – it’s artistic street art and illustration, mixed with abstract and pop art.”
The launch was managed by upcoming Sydney events company Event Zen.
