The Rendezvous Hospitality Group announced a multi-million dollar initiative and rebranding in order to revitalise the hotel portfolio

The Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG) has announced a multi-million dollar initiative and rebranding in order to revitalise the RHG hotel portfolio.

Rendezvous Hospitality Group will restructure its properties under a revamped Rendezvous brand with its Marque brand to be axed.

Under a new structure, Rendezvous Hotels and The Marque Hotels will evolve into one Rendezvous brand.

The multi million dollar revamp will introduce three tiers including Rendezvous Grand Hotels for upscale accommodation, Rendezvous Hotels targeting upper-midscale travellers and Rendezvous Studios for the mid-scale value conscious  traveller.

The first hotel in the group to be renamed and relaunched under this new model will be Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapore in December, 2011. The hotel and adjoining retail podium Rendezvous Gallery are completing a S$25m upgrade program by the end of this year.

Rendezvous Hotel Auckland, Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne, Rendezvous Hotel Perth and The Marque Hotel Perth are currently undergoing refurbishment.

As part of re-branding exercise, The Marque Sydney and The Marque Brisbane will be renamed Rendezvous Studio Sydney Central and Rendezvous Studio Brisbane on George respectively.

Eric Teng, CEO Rendezvous Hospitality Group said this realignment and investment in refurbishment will boost the Group’s growth potential by way of development and strategic alliances.

“We have exciting plans to improve our product and we intend to build on our strengths as a provider of superior, value accommodation for business people travelling for work and/or leisure who want a unique hospitality experience” said Teng.

“This collection of contemporary and heritage style hotels under the one Rendezvous brand signals a long-term commitment and intention for growth in key destinations throughout the Asia Pacific region.”
