QT Sydney’s renowned Gilt Lounge was the setting for a mystical garden-inspired celebration to launch its seasonal cocktail list.
The launch tipped the champagne experience on its head in typical QT style with a series of mouth-watering cocktails featuring Perrier Jouët champagne.
The relaxed sophistication of the 60-seat cocktail bar on level 2 of the historic Gowings building is both refined and intimate.
The vivid interior, by acclaimed designer Nic Graham, uses bespoke furniture and digital art by Daniel Boyd to deliver a distinctive, retro-futuristic ambience.
Unique glimpses of the city are visible through the windows as music infuses, rather than dominates, the space for a laidback, loungey vibe.
Behind the bar, some of Sydney’s finest mixologists called upon a vast array of liquors to hand-craft cocktails from the specially-designed list of classic and original mixes. The seasonal launch saw the addition of 3 champagne inspired cocktails – The Royal Collins featured Perrier Jouët with Haymen’s Old Tom Whiskey, classic Yuzu and fresh lemon.
The Champagne-Sider teamed Encanto Pisco with fresh mint and lime alongside Perrier Jouët NV. Finally, the Gilty Bellini saw this legendary recipe evolved with Earl Grey infusion, fresh peach and Perrier Jouët NV.
In addition to the champagne inspired cocktails, the Gilt Lounge team also devised some traditional cocktails with quirky yet creative twists, these include; Ghost of Mary- Pancetta and Jalapeno Infused Tito’s Vodka, house made Tomato Consommé, Umami Bitters, Pancetta Salt, Pickled Chili Asparagus and the House Made Elderflower G&T with Wild Brumby Gin, Elderflower Quinine Syrup, Fresh Lime, Edible Borage Flowers, Native Lime and Soda.
Delectable bar food by QT’s creative food director Rob Marchetti was generously presented as smooth grooves courtesy of guest DJ Cassette underscored with a suitably glamorous vibe.
