Stanley Hotel and Suites, a new luxury hotel, has opened in Papua New Guinea’s capital.

Opening its doors for the first time last week, the Stanley Hotel and Suites will serve as a home-base for those visiting Port Moresby and a launch pad for travellers looking to experience different areas of the country.

Located in the city’s commercial and government hub, the hotel offers 433 rooms including 99 serviced apartments with a wide range of facilities including a café-style restaurant, a lounge bar, a 3,000-square-metre outdoor area and pool deck, spa, gym and hot tub.

For meetings and events, the hotel has over 2,000 square metres of function space; a split level executive club lounge and fine dining grill-style restaurant as well as the largest ballroom in Papua New Guinea at 1,600 square metres.

Located only three kilometres from Jackson International Airport and six kilometres from the downtown area of Port Moresby, the Stanley Hotel and Suites provides unique business and leisure opportunities. The hotel is connected with Vision City, Port Moresby’s largest shopping centre, which offers a variety of entertainment and dining opportunities.
