Plans for $350m Gold Coast hotel development

The Kirra Beach precinct is set to get a five-star hotel as part of the plans.

Mayd Group has unveiled plans for a five-star hotel with residential properties in the latest development for the southern Gold Coast region.

The $350 million build will encompass the hotel building and a separate luxurious 10-level residential apartment building with 60 premium private residences, including two penthouses and five unique double storey beach houses.

The property will be on the beachfront with unobstructed views of North Kirra Beach with Mayd Group founder Todd Mould telling Urban Developer the large beachfront site is a rare one.

“We were fortunate to have been able to acquire eight adjoining sites to create one large beachfront site for our signature masterplan at North Kirra,” he said.

“We have been working with Gold Coast City Council on lodging the development application to deliver a landmark building of high distinction for such a prominent site.”

The 160-room hotel and private residences have been designed by MAS Studio.

The Kirra Beach area is experiencing a boom in recent times with KTQ Group this month unveiling plans for the first stage of its Kirra Point venues with two due to open in time for Summer.

Selling them as premium event locations directly opposite the beach, the Kirra Beach Hotel and Kirra Beach House will feature hospitality and function spaces with views across the southern Gold Coast.
