Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge was transformed into an enchanted forest labyrinth for MONA’s Wild at Heart event.
The progressive dinner included a medieval feast in the Highlands Restaurant while gothic decadence and ritualistic pagan ceremonies took over guest lounges and private dining areas. Guests, dressed as their designated ‘spirit animal’, moved through the venues in herds, enjoying the confronting experiences that MONA is known for.
Only 160 people were chosen from a ballot process attracting over 1000 entries to attend the event which was part of MONA’s 10-day winter festival Dark Mofo. Peppers was chosen for the Wild at Heart event because of its rustic charm and prime location adjacent to Cradle Mountain in Lake St Clair National Park.
Peppers general manager Leigh Reid said,”It was a fantastic experience to work with MONA and bring this event to life and be part of such an important cultural festival for Tasmania.”
