PCEC Wins Catering Awards in Western Australia

The Perth Convention Exhibition Centre has been awarded the Caterer of the Year Award and for the fourth consecutive year, the Function Centre Caterer Award at the 2009 Western Australian Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.

The Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) has been awarded the Caterer of the Year Award and for the fourth consecutive year, the Function Centre Caterer Award at the 2009 Western Australian Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence held on Monday (25 May.)

Individuals at the PCEC were recognised as chef de cuisine; Brad Froehlich was awarded Function Chef of the Year for his second year in a row; and catering manager, Anton Augustine, awarded for his outstanding contribution to the industry.

“We are extremely proud of our entire team,” said PCEC general manager, Robert Clifford. “These awards reflect the passion and excellence we strive for every day. We are honoured to win the overall Caterer of the Year and to be recognised four years in a row as Function Centre Caterer as we approach only our fifth anniversary is an enormous achievement.”

It was a victorious night for parent company, Spotless Services Australia as PCEC’s sister company, Mustard Catering, also walked away winner of the Event Caterer Award for the Johnnie Walker Classic 2009.

The awards, organised by the WA Restaurant and Catering Industry Association of Australia together with their national parent body, promote Australia’s best food and wine experiences. The national awards are to be announced on the 19th of October in Canberra.
