Ovolo The Valley has officially opened to guests, bringing eclectic boutique accommodation to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
Formerly an Emporium Hotel, the property has relaunched with a brand new look and Ovolo Hotels’ signature quirk throughout its public spaces and rooms.
The hotel features 103 guestrooms and suites, a rooftop pool and a meeting room dubbed B.I.G.
A new restaurant and bar concept is due to launch in early 2019, headed up by renowned chef and restauranteur Justin North.
The hotel’s design was led by global architecture firm, Woods Bagot, who were also behind the revitalisation of The Ivy, Sydney and The Garden House, Melbourne.
Ovolo Hotels founder and CEO Girish Jhunjhnuwala is confident Ovolo The Valley will be a leader within the Brisbane hotel market.
“Our brief to Woods Bagot was that each of our hotels must have their own unique personality and style, inspired by local surrounds, culture, heritage and Ovolo’s playful, forward-thinking spirit, and they’ve delivered exactly that,” he said.
“There is an element of fantasy, escapism and play in Ovolo The Valley. We’re positioning it as the perfect contemporary oasis to escape our busy urban lives.”
Among the five room types available are the Rockstar Suites, boasting a king size bed, separate lounge, bar and dining area and original art pieces by Daniel R. Watkins and Gerwyn Davies.
With a goal to be a “home away from home” for guests, Ovolo The Valley offers 24-hour room service, large flat-screen televisions, phone chargers in every room and Amazon’s Alexa cloud-based voice service.
