Oaks Oasis on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast has unveiled its new look this week following the completion of an extensive refurbishment.
The three stage project took two years and has seen the property transformed in its entirety, including its two accommodation wings, common areas, conferencing venues, Reflections Restaurant and Bar and the hotel’s leisure facilities.
The Sunset Wing now has all new kitchens/kitchenettes, bathrooms, fixtures, paint, carpets, balconies and furniture.
The neighbouring Boomerang Accommodation Wing has all new Hotel King Executive and Hotel King Family Rooms.
The conferencing facilities cater for up to 250 delegates and each space features fresh carpet, data projectors, motorised screens, in-house audio systems and ambient lighting.
A family-friendly aspect of the resort is the central water play park surrounded by lawn, sun lounges on a timber sun deck. The area can fit marquees for an outdoor event.
Oaks Hotels and Resorts’ CEO Brett Pointon said, “When we acquired Oaks Oasis in mid-2012, we recognised its incredible potential to operate as a premier and all-inclusive holiday, conferencing and wedding destination.
“After an intensive revitilisation, the finished product is extremely impressive and we are thrilled to re-launch Oaks Oasis in time for the bumper summer holiday period. We anticipate the new-look resort will appeal to a broad range of holidaymakers, conferencing delegates and wedding parties seeking fresh, self-contained accommodation paired with exceptional, onsite leisure and business facilities in a picture-perfect location.”
Oaks Oasis has 180 guest rooms set on 10 acres of gardens, just metres from Golden Beach and other nearby attractions. Additional resort leisure facilities include a central, tropical pool with spa, children’s playground, onsite restaurant and bar, beach volleyball court, miniature putting green and floodlit tennis courts.
