Novotel Sydney Darling Square completes major refurb

Novotel Sydney Darling Square - formerly the Novotel Darling Harbour - has undergone an extensive refurbishment across each of its 230 guest rooms.

Novotel Sydney Darling Square – formerly the Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour – has undergone an extensive refurbishment across each of its 230 guest rooms.

The revamp was inspired by the neighbouring Chinese Gardens, with the colour scheme, finish and lighting of each guest room designed to capture the tranquility of the gardens.

Simon McGrath, Chief Operating Officer of AccorHotels Pacific said Novotel Sydney Darling Square’s position and refurbishment complement the development of the Darling Square precinct and surrounding area.

“The Darling Square precinct continues to undergo a large amount of development and improvement and the area is thriving, particularly since the opening of the International Convention Centre. With the abundance of dining and entertainment attractions nearby, Novotel Sydney Darling Square is in a prime position to capitalise on this investment in infrastructure and it is an exciting time to be part of the Darling Harbour precinct”.

The hotel’s new lobby bar and restaurant Pier Street Kitchen has also opened, offering guests and locals a brand new option for breakfast and dinner.

In the evening, guests can also pop by to neighbouring Pumphouse Bar for evening dinner and drinks.

Novotel Sydney Darling Square is one of three properties owned by the Singapore based Frasers Hospitality REIT to be operated under management agreement with AccorHotels in Australia.

Editor’s Note: The Novotel Rockford Darling Harbour has rebranded to Novotel Sydney Darling Square, not Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour as stated in an earlier version of the story.
