The latest venue confirmed for Sydney’s Barangaroo is an organic tea bar named The Rabbit Hole that will open in late June.
The flagship Redfern store opened in 2015 and according to its co-founder Corinne Smith, an offer from Barangaroo’s developer, Lendlease, came through weeks later.
The Barangaroo location will be smaller than the Redfern site and will focus more on the takeaway trade. The Rabbit Hole will sell teas, tea lattes, hot chocolates and sparkling teas as well as a food menu including matcha whoopee pies, salads and The Rabbit Hole’s popular beef sandwich.
Other food concepts that have opened recently included Somer Sivrioglu’s Anason, Belle’s Hot Chicken and a new sustainable seafood diner operated by Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt.
