Space Hotel has announced plans to open a second property in Melbourne’s, St Kilda, offering dormitory style accommodation for sports teams and student groups as well as ocean view private suites for business travellers.

Located only 700 metres from the beach and a short tram ride into the city, Space Hotel, St Kilda is sure to be a popular destination for both interstate and overseas travellers.

Construction will commence later this year with the hotel expected to open in 2014. Space Hotel, Melbourne and Space Hotel, St Kilda are both owned by The South Pacific Property Group.

Spread over nine levels with a total capacity of 267 guests, the new Space Hotel St Kilda will feature 81 guest rooms including dormitory, family and private rooms an in-house cinema, internet café/ café and bar, gym and communal kitchen.
