Sydneysiders have a brand new rooftop bar and event space to enjoy, with the launch of Elm Rooftop Bar in Darlinghurst.
Overlooking the bustling streets and perched above craft beer venue The Taphouse, the venue offers an intimate alfresco space with loads of greenery.
Event planners can hire the space exclusively for a variety of functions, with capacity for up to 106 guests.
Plus, the venue’s retractable awning means events can go ahead no matter the weather.
The drinks menu focusses on classic cocktails with a refreshing twist, alongside an extensive range of seltzers.
“Elm is not the kind of dark late-night bar you’d usually find in Darlinghurst,” said owner Joshua Thorpe.
“We’ve conceptualised an outdoor cocktail and seltzer oasis that can be enjoyed in the afternoons well into the evening.”
Staying true its roots in The Taphouse downstairs, the venue also offers more than 20 local indie craft beers on tap.
“Just for the record, we’re still beer lovers through and through, we just wanted to give Sydney something a little bit more edgy and sophisticated,” said Thorpe.
On the food front, guests can choose from the likes of charcuterie boards, fish tacos with spicy tartare, steak ‘sambos’, southern fried cauliflower bites, as well as their much-loved crumbed jalapeño poppers with blue cheese filling.
